When I was collecting music as a teenager I often thought I had to have every track possible from the artists I enjoyed listening to. As I got older, I realized how impossible that is to achieve.
I stumbled on one of my favorite Kasabian albums, 48:13, as a deluxe edition. In the past, it meant there were a couple of extra tracks done live or the demo version. In some cases you would get studio tracks that didn’t make it to the album…B-Sides.
In the deluxe edition of 48:13, the extra tracks are “Beanz” and “Gelfling”. Bringing the run time of the album to 56:05. As an added bonus, there’s a DVD of their homecoming gig in Liecester.
Is the Deluxe edition worth the extra scratch? Yes, but not if someone says that it is super-rare and there are only a small number left. I was able to find it online for less than a fiver.
