(Ǎhk-To͝ong Bāy-Bi) Covered

There are quite a few compilations in my collection that I buy for one or two tracks and then I get a pleasant surprise when listening to the album. And one of the issues that I run into with a lot of the albums that I do this for is that the rest of the artists on the album are, quite frankly, shit.

However, (Ǎhk-To͝ong Bāy-Bi) Covered, is the exception to the rule. I bought the album for NIN covering “Zoo Station” (something I never knew they did) and was pleasantly surprised by the covers done by Jack White, Depeche Mode, Garbage, and others. The entire album is a track-by-track re-imagining of the original Achtung Baby. Jack White’s “Love Is Blindness” is an awesome rendition of the original, dare I say it, even better (than the real thing)…
